Sharespot is committed to the safety of all users, especially minors. This policy describes our standards for preventing child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and child sexual abuse material (CSAM) on the platform.
Zero Tolerance Policy
We have zero tolerance for content that sexually exploits or endangers children. The following are strictly prohibited on Sharespot:
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) in any form
- Sexualized or suggestive content involving minors
- Grooming, predatory behavior, or any attempt to contact minors for inappropriate purposes
- Content that promotes, normalizes, or facilitates harm to children
Violations result in immediate account termination and reporting to authorities.
Age Requirement
Sharespot is available only to users 13 years of age or older. Users under 13 are not permitted to create accounts.
In-App Reporting
Users can report content or accounts that violate our child safety standards from within the app:
- Tap the three-dot menu (or long-press) on the content
- Select Report
- Choose the appropriate reason
- Submit
Reports are reviewed by our moderation team and acted on promptly.
Reporting to Authorities
When we identify CSAM or an imminent threat to a child, we report to:
- The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) in the United States
- Relevant law enforcement and regulatory bodies in applicable jurisdictions
We cooperate fully with law enforcement investigations into child safety violations.
Compliance With Applicable Laws
Sharespot complies with all applicable child safety laws, including but not limited to:
- 18 U.S.C. § 2258A (mandatory reporting of CSAM in the United States)
- COPPA (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act)
- Applicable state, federal, and international child-protection laws
